I wanted to welcome you to the New Year with my thanks for your support as well as an update on the doings with my team, the Shab Squad!
Last year ended with the closeout of our first performances in Europe & Britain as the opening act of Anastacia’s I’m Outta Lockdown tour. Despite a rocky start to the tour due to the headliner’s vocal issues, we very much enjoyed our time in Europe and had a wonderful time performing in the Low Countries and Britain. Moreover, it was great to spend time with my fans in Europe -- and we already have plans to return to the United Kingdom, possibly more than once, over the summer of 2023!
My year-ending single of 2022, Sexual, continues with your support to climb the charts – and we opened this week on the British Commercial Pop charts at #18 with a bullet! I have never had a Number One Hit in Britain and am hopeful that Sexual could be the first!
Over this past week we shot the supporting video for my new upcoming single, Dolce Vita, which was originally recorded in early 2022 but will be first released during mid-February 2023. This Latin-flavored song was recorded in Los Angeles but with a video shot in Dallas by our longtime Los Angeles crew and entirely at locations where you might find us in our hometown. I can’t wait to hear your reactions to both the music and the video!
